Chippewa Valley Chess Club (Macomb and Clinton Township)

Chippewa Valley Schools Chess Clubs (Macomb & Clinton Township) will be conducted at the followings schools from September through October 2008:

A maximum of 50 students per location.
Chess clubs are open to children regardless if they attend the school building or school district. Homeschoolers are welcome!!

This club is designed for chess players of all skill levels. Children do not have to know how to play chess in order to join. Students will be divided into skill level groups: Pawns, Rooks, Queens, Kings, Chess Assistants, and assistant coaches. Each session includes both instruction time as well as practice time. This workshop is open to all children. Learn the names of the pieces and how each piece moves and captures. Children may register for chess club after the workshop.
